Little Ragwort of the hills
To whom the stars gave light
Caring not that you were small
Against the endless night
A single road brought visitors
Lovers, secret, shy
You welcomed them with giggles
You pretended not to spy
The sun, the breeze, the rain,
You loved them most of all
The bright light of the countryside
And then the darkness falls
The hills then sleep in shadows
The moon rolls quietly by
The little Ragwort of the hills
Lived in a lullaby
