Tornado woman

Obsession is a tornado of a woman
She entered the town square where coffee was free
And tore up the benches and the pavements
And rooted herself there like a tree

Tornado woman, once I reached out to you
You took the skin off of my hand
You blew through my hair howling
Then I was lifted up from the cold hard land

I weep for the tornado woman
Even though we are hardly ever apart
Even though I am known in your dreams, whirling and spinning
I’ve made no impression on your heart
