The plumber

Tired of the plumbing
The wet towels on the floor
The customer hovers
Wanting to know more
Standing there like a child
The customer plumbing
His eyes popping wild
The Flexi pipe drips
Into his wet soul
Is there more to this life
Than a water pipe
As I squat like a mole
Beside the bath
With a torch in my mouth
While the customer trembles
And resembles a mouse
It’s a waste of time
Being called out
I sneer at the customer
Suppressing a shout
He’ll get someone on Monday
With a new Flexi pipe
He’ll have to make do now
Goodbye and goodnight
