Stonehenge and a grave

Stonehenge
And a grave
– At last –
I always felt
There was a grave

New dates
For its beginnings:
Six thousand years
Of our time,
Plus a thousand years
Of a different kind of time
On a different kind of earth

Right at the beginnings
Of history
Where the era of man began
It makes me think
Of the cycle of life
The cycle
Of time

It makes me think
That Stonehenge might represent
Our beginning
And our end
