A broken dream

The dream is mixed ingredients
In a cookery class
The dream is spare Meccano parts
In a fitted cupboard
It’s not romantic, it’s worse than that
It’s a broken body in an experimental film
Even if you could remove
The parts of your dream from your head
They would never fit together on a table
Parts are pale blue, parts are dusty pink
Parts are 1951, parts are 2021
The actors are not real persons
They are projections, an inner vison of chaos
I love my dreams, but how to stop them
Twisting dangerously into nightmares
