As the hot water goes cold:
Floating weightlessly,
Stars are born,
Galaxies appear from nowhere.
As the water goes cold
As a frozen crucifix,
Eyes shoot out of openings;
Mouths are stitched
Out of the cloth of nothingness.
As the water goes cold:
An atom grows
To the size of the sun
And leaves its cold lake
To glow in space in great isolation.
As the water goes cold:
stars tumble
Over the edge of galaxies
With fiery energy.
