Why is there so much trouble in the world?

I was asked to explain the biblical view of why there is so much trouble in the world for a friend who needs to explain it to a young boy who is worried by what he sees happening, for me the explanation is quite credible and believable and is better than anything else that has been said, I am not a priest or a vicar and me education was poor but i have done my best to explain it. See what you think.

The reason for so much badness in the world we live is because Satan who is a powerful fallen angel is the ruler of the world. He influences the things ordinary people do and what rulers and governments do. Jesus did not say that the ruler of the world is God but that the ruler will be judged by God. (You can read his comments in the gospel book of John 12:31; 14:30; 16:11)

The ruler of the world is even reported as trying to tempt Jesus into submitting to him rather than to God. “All these things I will give you if you do an act of worship to me.” If Jesus had given in to Satan at that time he would have lost God’s Kingdom to him.

God’s Kingdom is God’s plan to take the rulership of the earth away from Satan. Jesus is the one to whom God has given God’s Kingdom of the earth but first because Satan will not let go of his rulership without a fight there will be time of trouble on the earth. Which we are experiencing now, the climate changes, the war and terrorism are all due to the anger of Satan. There has already been a war in heaven against Satan and now it has come to the earth because of him: “War broke out in heaven, Michael and his angels battled with the dragon and they fought back, but did not win and the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire earth, was hurled down out of heaven to the earth with his angels. Now he has no influence in heaven but it is bad for the earth because of his great anger knowing that he has a short period of time to do anything to save his rulership of the earth.

All of this happened out of sight of human eyes because human eyes cannot see spiritual people but the influence that they have upon the earth and the people can be seen in the bad things that happen to people in all the countries with the upset to life that they experience but can’t quite explain.

Jesus will soon bring an end to all this and take over from Satan and return the world and the earth to a happier state and teach people that Jehovah is the creator of the earth and that he will provide the means through his spirit to change things for the better once Satan is out of the way.
