Sometimes a man can fly
You know what I mean –
Suddenly you are aware of the ground beneath
Moving beneath you like a light jazzy song
If you stop to wonder for a moment
Where is my baggage; where are my friends
You vanish out of the sky
You are a – self escaper from reality
Was that awareness so real or was it unreal?
Or was it another experience of reality
Your heart and soul riding your spirit in
Scientists say not
but what if you looked up at the stars
And decided to fly higher and higher to space
Until you were out in the stars
Going further and further away from the earth
Would you feel afraid?
Getting lost in your dream and never going back to earth
so far out on the other side of space
Feeling alone
Consciousness cannot quite do it
Like a early wooden aeroplane you struggle to keep in the air
You might try to glide for as long as you can
Until your mental energies are as exhausted as a battery
My experience of this phenomenan is of when I have felt so trapped by circumstances that there is no way and the
It’s actually imperative to daydream or escape into a world where you feel free and can relax. A descriptive poem!
