The oldest city in the world as burning
Bombs rained down like rain out of the sky
People all around were fighting for their lives
But you couldn’t hear their sobs or see them cry
The sky was glowing hot in illumination
The light of death was glowing in the night
Inside that city a million people living
But destruction came and many people died
What did the babies do to cause this anger?
What did the mothers do but live their life?
They were the victims of some bad politician’s greed
And they were the ones who really paid the price
Like a vison on the TV screen, it was broadcast
Like a horror film that everyone went to see
The oldest city in the world was set on fire
But you think that this way would set them free
Oh, it was freedom in death

In a political war by the insane
